“Sabreen” (which means patience in Arabic) started as a musical group in Jerusalem in 1980 and developed into the Sabreen Association for Artistic Development in 1987 as a non-profit, community organization.

The founder of the iconic Palestinian band Sabreen was Said Murad, an internationally recognized Palestinian composer and musician. Today, Murad directs Sabreen Association, based in East Jerusalem, mentoring and teaching the next generation of Palestinian artists. Murad commented.

Murad is working alongside Des Cullen, the What About Us Music Director, and together the two passionate composers are working with Palestinian and Irish musicians to develop a fusion of Arabic, Irish. and modern music.

The Sabreen studio is based in East Jerusalem and contains a full-service unit designed to meet the diversified audio needs of the 21st century, with professional quality and state of the art digital recording facilities. The recording studio facilitates all types of vocal and instrument recording.
